USDXna Whitepaper
Abstract
USDXna is a multi-chain quant-yield NAV token protocol. Its core product is the USDXe (X = 0–20) family of NAV tokens: USD0e is a NAV token theoretically maintaining a NAV of 1, while USD1e–USD20e are floating-NAV products with maximum net exposure of 1%–20%. The protocol earns yield from funding-rate arbitrage and CTA quant strategies, controls exposure through Delta hedging, and is backed by an independent Risk Fund (disclosed daily) and a multisig + timelock governance system. USDXna will first deploy on Robinhood Chain (Chain ID 4663), serving the yield demand of idle capital in its tokenized-stock ecosystem.
1. Background & Opportunity
Robinhood Chain is the fastest-growing RWA public chain of 2026: an Ethereum L2 built on Arbitrum Orbit/Nitro, mainnet-launched on July 1, 2026, focused on tokenizing real-world assets such as stocks and ETFs. It already hosts 2,000+ stock tokens, with cumulative tokenized-stock trading volume exceeding $2.21 billion within two months of launch — backed by Robinhood's 23 million retail users across 120 countries.
Yet the ecosystem has a clear gap: the chain has "assets" but lacks "yield." After buying tokenized stocks, users' capital sits idle on-chain with no native, sound yield product to absorb it. USDXna fills this gap with quant-strategy yield as its foundation, offering Robinhood Chain a complete yield gradient from conservative to high-risk — the intersection of "US-equity tokenization traffic × quant yield products."
2. Positioning
To become the first quant-yield NAV token protocol on Robinhood Chain.
Analogous to the "broker + fund manager" relationship in traditional finance: Robinhood provides the channel and the assets; USDXna provides the asset-management products. Why Robinhood Chain:
| Factor | Analysis |
|---|---|
| Traffic | Natural funnel from 23M Robinhood retail users; compliant distribution across 120 countries |
| Timing | Mainnet live since July 2026; the ecosystem is young, yield protocols are near-absent, and the first-mover window is roughly 6 months |
| Technology | EVM-compatible (Arbitrum Nitro stack); existing Solidity contracts port with almost zero changes |
| Asset synergy | 2,000+ on-chain stock tokens can serve as collateral and combo underlyings for the NAV tokens |
| Cost | Extremely low L2 gas makes high-frequency operations like subscribe/redeem viable |
3. Product Suite
USDXe (X = 0–20) is a family of NAV tokens soft-pegged to USD value (NOT 1:1). Each X value represents a different risk exposure and asset allocation.
3.1 USD0e (Conservative · NAV Token)
- Zero-exposure funding-rate arbitrage strategy, theoretically maintaining a NAV of 1
- Distributes yield daily; suited to low-risk investors
- T+1 subscription; redemptions processed daily (within 10% of total fund AUM)
3.2 USD1e–USD20e (Risk Gradient · Floating NAV)
- Maximum net exposure of X% of total assets (USD1e ≤ 1%, USD20e ≤ 20%)
- Correlated with USD through dynamic adjustment and diversified portfolio management, but not rigidly bound
- T+1 subscription; redemptions within 10% of total fund AUM settle T+1, amounts beyond are processed per cycle; KYB users may also opt for no redemption (monthly PNL settlement)
3.3 sUSDXe (Staking Token)
Stake USDXe to receive sUSDXe and share protocol revenue. Rewards are paid in USDXe by default, switchable to USDT at the user's option. Available only to users in permitted jurisdictions.
4. Underlying Strategy & Yield Sources
4.1 Delta Hedging (All Tiers)
Collateralized by BTC, ETH and other governance-approved spot assets, with spot positions Delta-hedged via perpetual and delivery futures, adjusted in real time to maintain target exposure.
4.2 USD0e Yield Sources
- Funding rates (longs pay shorts at positive premium; shorts pay longs at negative premium)
- Cash-and-carry and cross-exchange spreads
- ETH on-chain staking yield
4.3 USD1e–USD20e Yield Sources
- CTA strategy portfolio at the specified exposure percentage — long/short cross-sectional: long the relatively strong contracts, short the relatively weak, with maximum one-way exposure never exceeding X% during rebalancing
- USD0e (as the base layer)
4.4 Asset Allocation
- High-liquidity stablecoins such as USDC and USDT
- US Treasuries or compliant financial products backed by them
- BTC, ETH and other governance-approved spot assets (as collateral, hedged)
5. Issuance & Subscribe/Redeem
- Multi-chain issuance: USDXna issues on multiple chains, with first deployment on Robinhood Chain (Chain ID 4663)
- Permissionless access: anyone can buy or sell USDXe with USDT/USDC and other assets via external AMM pools
- Direct minting: transfer accepted reserve assets (BTC, ETH, USDC, etc.) to mint USDXe — restricted to approved market makers that have passed KYC/KYB clearance
- Direct redemption: burn USDXe to receive backing assets — likewise restricted to approved, KYC/KYB-cleared market makers
- Cycle: all tiers support T+1 subscription; redemptions within 10% of total fund AUM settle T+1, amounts beyond are processed over a longer scheduled cycle (liquidity management); USD0e redeems daily (within the 10% limit), USD1e–USD20e are redeemable or settled monthly on PNL
6. Trading Incentive (Last-Trader Jackpot · Third-Party Community Module)
This module is developed and launched by a third-party community, independent of the USDXna protocol. Layered over NAV-token trading, it uses a fee-funded pool to create continuous trading incentives:
- Every trade is charged a 0.2% fee
- 95% of the fee rolls into the jackpot pool; the remaining 5% rolls into the Risk Fund
- Every valid trade (volume > $100) resets a 120-second countdown
- If no new valid trade occurs within 120 seconds, the pool settles and is split equally among the last 10 valid traders
- Settlement is triggered by the "next trade" or by any address calling settle() — lazy settlement, no off-chain keeper required
7. Risk Fund (Disclosed Daily)
A fixed share of protocol revenue rolls into an independent Risk Fund — a buffer for NAV protection and extreme market conditions.
7.1 Sources
- All protocol-retained on-chain fees (including the 5% trading-fee share and subscribe/redeem fees)
- Management fee accrued on NAV
- 20% of carry (performance fee) from each settlement period
7.2 Use of Funds
- NAV protection and drawdown backstop in extreme markets
- Compensation for clawbacks / abnormal losses
- Protocol security spending (audits, insurance, etc.)
7.3 Management & Disclosure
- Independent contract address under multisig + timelock management; any expenditure requires multisig confirmation and takes effect only after a timelock delay
- Daily disclosure: fund balance, same-day inflow/outflow detail, cumulative size — published via on-chain data plus daily reports
8. Technical Architecture
- Contract layer: multisig + timelock contract system (audited), deployed directly on EVM, adapted to Chainlink oracles
- Strategy layer: proprietary quant engine computing NAV off-chain via the strategy execution interface, updated on-chain
- Risk-control layer: risk-control whitelist interface + multisig timelock; NAV updates and redemptions require multisig confirmation and execute after a timelock delay — no single point of failure
- Transparency layer: NAV, proof of holdings and the Risk Fund daily report published on-chain at regular intervals
9. Roadmap (6 Months)
| Phase | Timeline | Milestones |
|---|---|---|
| M1 Prepare | Month 1 | Adapt contracts to Chainlink, testnet deployment, security audit |
| M2 Launch | Month 2 | Mainnet deployment of USD0e + subscribe/redeem; seed liquidity $500K |
| M3 Grow | Months 3–4 | Full USD1e–USD20e gradient live; DEX liquidity pools; target TVL $5M |
| M4 Expand | Months 5–6 | Stock-token combo products launch; governance token cross-chain; target TVL $100M, 5,000+ holders |
10. Risk Disclosure
- Compliance risk: yield-bearing NAV tokens may be deemed securities in some jurisdictions; minting, redemption and staking all require KYC/KYB clearance, and certain features are limited to permitted jurisdictions
- NAV volatility risk: USDXe is soft-pegged to USD, NOT 1:1; USD0e theoretically maintains a NAV of 1, but rigid redemption at par is not guaranteed under extreme market conditions
- Gaming attributes of the jackpot: the last-trader jackpot is operated by a third-party community; its mechanics may be classified as gambling/lottery in some jurisdictions, and front-end geo-blocking will apply for restricted regions
- Strategy underperformance: quant yield is the foundation of the product; historical returns do not guarantee future performance
- Chain infrastructure risk: Robinhood Chain launched recently; the maturity of oracles, bridges and other infrastructure is unproven — the protocol will cap TVL in its early phase
